| ALL SET TO CHICAGO FOR THE IST INTERNATIONAL GRAND ALUMNI HOMECOMING
All graduates, including those who took their kindergarten years up to those who completed their post-graduate degrees will convene to mark the first ever UNEP International Grand Alumni Homecoming in Sheraton Gateway Suites in Chicago , Illinois comes July 29, 2010.
The three day event, which will wrap up on August 1 is expected to be attended by thousands of UNEPIANS who are all now successful in their respective fields of endeavors. Under this year’s theme: “The economy, health care reforms – our lives and our profession,” all UNEPIANS from all nooks and corners of the world will gather and reminisce the good old days when they are just starting to weave their dreams and aspirations.
On top of the preparation is UNEP’s dynamic Executive Vice President and VP for Finance, Ms. Deli Alfelor-Tibi, who will also personally attend the said occasion. Ms. Deli is also the Homecoming’s regional coordinator in the Philippines , along with Ms. Wilma Ramos.
In an interview, Ms Deli said that she is already excited just thinking about what’s going to transpire in Chicago . “I am really excited and also keyed-up since this is the first time that we are going to have the first ever international grand alumni homecoming for our graduates outside of the Philippines .”
Enlivening activities awaits the participants. The organizers have prepared festive activities, stimulating games and challenges to welcome all attending alumni. Aside from the Saturday Grand Ball and Dinner, all attendees will surely enjoy the prizes from the lottery ticket draw.
Third prize winner will receive 2 free round trip tickets for any city in the US while the second place winner will get a round trip ticket from Hongkong to Manila . Two (2) free roundtrip tickets from US to Manila await the lucky winner. A consolation prize of $100.00 each will be given to five (5) holders of winning tickets.
One of the highlights of the assembly is the Recognition Awards for Outstanding UNEP Alumni. On the last day of the event, a thanksgiving mass will be held at San Francisco, California and will be officiated by Rev. Fr. Ed Dura, Pastor of the Saint Patrick Church.
Atty. Remelisa Alfelor-Moraleda, UNEP President will also be at Chicago to personally witness the significant event. She stated that the international homecoming will yet be another mark of the distinct universality of every UNEPians.

We have earned it thru hard work, thru perseverance and thru our undaunted dedication to keep the quality of our education high and unquestionable, and we did it, with pride and great honor. I am truly proud that more and more UNEPians are joining the ranks of professionals and creating their own niche in our society.”
