Message from the College of Nursing & Midwifery
In response to the country’s great need for nurses and the growing number of students
in the Bicol Region who would be taking up nursing, the university under the leadership
of the late Felix Ordas Alfelor, Sr. offered a
baccalaureate program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This program has
been approved as having complied with the basic requirements.
Since then, the College of Nursing has grown and continues to exist up to the present,
producing professional nurses and midwives.
The University is composed of highly qualified professors with Masteral degrees and
specialties in the field of Nursing.
The university is equipped with state-of-the-art gadgets and dummies for skills
laboratory return demonstrations. At present, we adopt modern learning strategies to
cope with technological advancement.
The university subscribes to eLEARNING, a computer-based
learning system that enhances classroom lectures. The University of Northeastern Philippines
is the first school in Rinconada to adopt this modern
learning approach.
With dynamic, dedicated, and energetic teaching force and innovative strategies,
studying Nursing & Midwifery at UNEP becomes easier, meaningful, and enjoyable.
